Class Descriptions

Gentle Raja Yoga with Nikki Baker. 
"In this class, we will explore the 8-limbed path of raja yoga which includes working with the yamas and niyamas, chanting, breath, meditation and gentle, deep posture flow.  All levels of experience are welcome as the intention of this class is to restore and renew."  Cost: $80 for series (varies with session) or $13 for drop-in. Peace Medicine Yoga with Coleen Elwood. 
Classes are open to beginners and anyone interested in AtmaYoga, a meditative, soul-centered approach that focuses on developing inner strength.  Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and move to a position of steadiness and comfort in the postures.  This strengthens intuition and brings joy back to the practice of yoga.  We will practice breath awareness, yoga postures and relaxation.  Discover practical tools for relieving stress and leading a more balanced life.  Coleen is a certified AtmaYoga teacher.  Cost:  $16 per class or sliding scale 8-class punch-card for $80 - $100.  No pre-registration. Continuing Vinyasa with Cindy Sawamura Salyards.
A vinayasa (flow) style class influenced by Anusara (a-nu-sar-a). This heartfelt approach, developed by John Friend, focuses on alignment and energetic action in every asana. Through connection to the breath and self-observation the practice allows the space for self-discovery and an opportunity to move inward and to connect more deeply with oneself. This moderately-paced class is suitable for continuing beginners and intermediate students. Students are encouraged to honor their own bodies while still being challenged to expand and explore their edge. Cost: $15 for single class or 8-class card for $80. All levels. Drop-ins welcome.

Candlelight Vinyasa with Katie Bratsch
Gentle yet powerful, Vinyasa yoga is a moderately-paced flowing practice of breath-synchronized movements and guided meditation. This class is designed to warm your body, ease your mind and brighten your spirit. Wind down from your day and prepare for a good night's sleep in the soft glow of candlelight. Katie is a certified yoga teacher from Yoga Center of Minneapolis and Devanadi Yoga. Cost: $10 per class. No pre-registration. Drop-ins welcome.
